I'm not only a novelist and blogger but an animal lover, former Iowa farm girl, cowgirl, rodeo queen, recent kidney transplant recipient, career magazine writer, editor and publisher, avid reader, and adjunct professor at several colleges.

I'm also an avid volunteer for causes I believe in: homeless veterans, humane societies, women's and children's rights, Native American rights, Missing and Murdered Native Women, and my favorite cause, the Chief Joseph Foundation. (I am giving a portion of BLOOD TO RUBIES royalties to CJF.)

My debut novel, Book of the Year & Amazon #1 Bestselling BLOOD TO RUBIES, and my upcoming 2025 novel, SAPPHIRES IN ASHES, as well as my blogs, are labors of love. I glory in the written word and celebrate my favorite writers and their words in this blog. By "writers," I mean ALL types of writers...anyone who puts words together to make them sing and inspire.
